How to Create a New Telegram Account

Install the Telegram App
First, you need to install the Telegram app from the Play Store on your phone. Once installed, open the app. After searching for and installing Telegram, the app will appear on your phone; tap on it to open it.
Click on ‘Start Messaging’
As soon as you open Telegram, you will see an option to start. Click on ‘Start Messaging’. Next, a ‘Continue’ button will appear; tap on it. Telegram will then ask for permission to make calls; select ‘Allow’.
Enter Your Phone Number
Next, you will see an option to enter your phone number. Enter your number here, starting with the country code. For example, if you are in India, enter the Indian country code followed by your phone number. After entering the number, tap the arrow button. You will then be asked to confirm the number; if it is correct, select ‘Yes’. A ‘Continue’ button will appear; tap on it.
Phone Verification
After tapping ‘Continue’, you will be asked to allow call permissions; select ‘Allow’. Wait for a moment while phone verification takes place. You will receive a call on the number you entered. Do not answer the call; the app indicates that you should not accept it, as Telegram will process everything automatically. After waiting a short while, verification will complete automatically.
Enter Profile Information
Once verified, you will see the profile information screen. At the top, you will see an option to add a profile photo, indicated by a camera icon. Tap on this icon. You will then see an option to ‘Upload from Gallery’; tap this to select your photo. After selecting a photo, you need to adjust it. Once adjusted, click the checkmark (tick) icon; your profile photo will then be set.
Enter your name
Next, you need to enter your name. You will see an option for your “First Name,” where you should enter it. After entering your name, click the arrow icon. You will then see a “Welcome to Telegram” screen.
Continue with Telegram
Next, select “Continue.” An “Allow” button will appear; select “Allow.” Your Telegram setup will then be ready.
Chats and Channels on Telegram
You can now chat and communicate with others here. You can also create your own channel and view your profile. Various options are available; clicking the three-line icon reveals a range of choices. Clicking the pencil icon will bring up a “Continue” button—select it, then select “Allow” when prompted. Once you grant permission, the relevant Telegram content will be displayed.
